Yo, what’s up everybody! Today we’re gonna take a look at the BESTEK LED desktop lamp. Now, you can buy this on Amazon – The price on this one – 40 bucks. Now, let me tell you for 40 bucks, this is the best lamp that I found yet.
You got four different modes: You got reading, study, relaxing, and sleep; and you also got a 60-minute timer and you get an 18-month warranty. Now inside, you get 2 user manuals, you get your plug. The desktop is on 7 watts, it has a 70-minute-long battery. I saw… I’ll talk about that in a second. You got your full touch controls, you got two USB outputs – 5 volts, 2 amps; and you got a USB Type-C output – 5 volts, 3 amps. Alright, this is a go.
First things first, the plug is braided – this is pure quality right here. Now, if you know anything about BESTEK, they usually makes a lot of those power strips and you see they got the big desktop power strip, that’s one of my favorite ones right there. So, I already know that they know what they’re doing with the quality, but these braided cables caught me off-guard. They look and feel nice. Now, the lamp is gonna come in two parts. The main lamp and it comes with this little piece right here that connects on. This is the actual light. You got a USB Type-C input, that’s 3 amps. You have 2 USB, 2.4 amps, so you can charge up your phones and your tablets and your MacBoo. On the back, here’s what you’re gonna plug it in – other side is clean.
This lamp is super heavy and it looks nice. It’s all brushed aluminum, nothing cheap at all. This does rotate, not 360 degrees, but it rotates enough, but you get a nice amount of rotation.
So, look and feel wise, this lamp is pretty dope; I was wondering, why does this thing detach like, ‘what’s the point of that?’; then I just happened to read the box and I was like, ’70-minute battery life, for what?’. Check this out. On top, you got that little button, you have a fully functional detachable light. You know, how dope is this. So now if you’re reading, I use myself for an example, so I’m reading in the middle of the night and I might get up to go the bathroom real quick. I don’t want to turn on the lights and fully wake-up, just disconnect this, and I got a little light. Three different modes on the light. So, you turn it on, it’s super bright… even brighter and max brightness. Let me blind you all real quick – max brightness. And when you want to connect it back in, slap it in.
You got reading, study, relaxing, sleep, and you also have a 60-minute timer. So if you’re using this a nightlight, set it for 60 minutes, you don’t have to worry about waking up in the middle of the night with a big bright light on.
If you hit the first light, that’s dim, 50%, 75%, and max brightness – so all touch controls. Now, we’ll put it on study, this is super bright. Alright, so you can make it a little dimmer, 75, 200, then you got relaxing. Now, relaxing has a yellow tone to it. Four settings on relaxing and then we got sleep. Sleep has also a yellowish tone to it. Also, and for many settings, you could just hit the timer and 60 minutes from now it’s gonna automatically disconnect or automatically turn off.
Now, here’s another dope feature right here. You can charge up to three devices at the same time and the lamp is still fully functional.
On a scale of 1 to 10, this is a major go for 40 bucks. We got about an hour and ten minutes worth of having a flashlight with three settings – this is major right here. Let’s see what happens if we plug it in while it’s turned on, it automatically turns off, then you turn it back on. Now, this has the memory setting, so we’ll put it on our sleep at 50%. Now, say I turn this off, once I turn it back on, it’s going to turn back on to sleep 50%. So, if you find your little perfect setting that you like… Let’s say study, say 75%, that’s your favorite setting. You don’t have to worry about playing with the buttons every time you turn it back off and turn it back on, it’s gonna be on that same setting.
Anyway, this is the BESTEK LED desktop lamp with the removable contraband finder! LOL ;)
