Question: Is it quiet?
Answer: On low or med it very quiet on high it’s louder but not terrible. It’s the best fan we have bought in a while I sure hope it lasts.
Question: Can you use batteries on this or is it just a wall plug
Answer: It is powered by a wall plug only.
Question: What is the watt rating?
Answer: The label on the side does not list the watt rating. But it lists the fan as 120 volts and .43 amps, so I figure that equals 51.6 watts.
Question: Does this fan come apart easily for cleaning??
Answer: Looks like you remove eight easily accessible phillips screws and the cage comes apart.
Question: Can this be used in car for backseat
Answer: Goodness no!
Question: Does the stand have a spot on it to allow for wall mounting? Does the stand tilt back that far so it could blow out straight if attached to the wall?
Answer: The base is made out of plastic and I doubt that it could be securely mounted to a wall. The knob on each side of the fan can be loosened to allow you to adjust the direction of air flow. Hope this info helps.
Question: Hi – what is the size of the blade, from end to end? I thought I saw somewhere that it’s 9″ but want to confirm. Thanks!
Answer: The blades aren’t nearly that long. It has five blades and each is approximately 5 and half inches from the hub to the tip. The fan has three speeds, is quiet and moves a lot of air for its size. It replaced a much larger floor fan that I had that finally wore out. Hope this helps.
Question: What is the “UL” listing – damp, wet or dry location only?
Answer: dry only
Question: can this be mounted on a wall???
Answer: i would say yes – but not easily. base is more for flat table-type surfaces.
Question: I like my fan to be powerful if I’m hot will this make me cold?
Answer: It will definitely make you cooler but not cold. Not too cold.
Question: How long is the cord on this fan?
Answer: Approximately 65 inches.
Question: how would this compare to a Vornado fan room air mover?
Answer: This fan is very strong. I keep it on low, and it gives me plenty of air.
Question: Is it digital or mechanical? If the power goes out, a mechanical fan will come back on by itself when the power comes back on. Digital fans won’t.
Answer: mechanical :D not digital … i believe i love this fan!
Question: What are the dimensions of the base of the fan? (And is it flat?)
Answer: The base at its widest points is 26″ x 10″. As you can see from the picture it is contoured. It is flat sitting on 4 small rubber feet. If you turn it over and look it is a molded shell that is mostly hollow. It sits firmly on my wooden floor and does not vibrate or wobble in the least.
Question: what Is the air output, or CFM, of this fan, so i can compare it to other products
Answer: Larry, I looked through the owner’s manual, No mention of CFM. This 20″ fan air output is a good buy. The price has decreased since I bought it a week ago.
Question: whereabouts is the speed controller located at?
Answer: It is a large rotary knob directly in the center of the back of the fan.
