The Best Motivation for College

A lot of factors come into play when you need motivation. It’s said that motivation is needed daily. You can be driven as F*** but you can still get discouraged every now and then. There’s times where you can feel like you’re going backwards and not progressing. Take it from me, even when you are going backwards you will eventually take greater leaps forward.

In college there’s a lot distraction from parties, relationships, competition, grades and more. All these factors play with your determination and could have you wanting to quit. The thing about motivation is that you have plenty of it in the start, but as you get half way to your goal, you lose that sight for success because motivation ran out and now all the hard work starts.

What should you do to stay motivated in college?

We’re here to tell you that perseverance is what it takes. You got to keep pushing no matter what. Even when you don’t know the answers, that little voice in the back of your head will let you know that you can’t give up. That little voice can even play tricks on you and tell you things like you are not worthy and that you should give up. But that is not your conscience that’s the voice of others which has slipped into your subconscious.

What you need is CBT or Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

The way CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) works is that you record your thoughts and feelings on a journal, and eventually you will recognize patterns of why you’re failing or successful. Nowadays there’s apps which can provide CBT for you making it easy to keep track of these thoughts.

ManAPP, as in Man UP, is a no nonsense app which uses motivational quotes on a timed scheduled and reminds you of your goals and prompts you to record your thoughts on a journal. By doing this continuously you will recognize why you fail and it will even keep you dedicated as time goes by and things get tougher.

This isn’t a promotion for the app believe it or not! We genuinely care if you are motivated and want you to succeed in all your endeavors. I personally know the trials and tribulations that college students are faced with and how hard it is to stay on course and do the right thing. The app is like that little voice in your head which keeps you positive thinking.

I want you to check out this video on how exactly  the app works first:

SO as you can see, it’s a pretty basic motivational app which comes with tools that actually have scientific data which are proven to help you motivate yourself. There’s other apps out on the market and we suggest you also try them, we just feel that this one provides what actually helps you get and stay motivated while others might be gimmicky or not really effective. Download it now. Check out ManApp’s Website.

Motivational Quotes Provide Insight

No matter what the motivational quote is, they all have the same message, but in the end, only a few really might mean something to the reader. Personally the quote by Confucius “No matter how slow you go, don’t stop.” was the quote which flipped a switch in my head which made me realize that even if I just do a little bit everyday towards my goals, then i’m progressing and doing more than my competition. Talent might get you to the front door, but hard work will get you to the top. I now look back at how far I’ve gotten in 2 years and almost laugh and think about the nay-sayers that didn’t believe in me. I think about all the skills I picked up by pursuing these goals and all I did was do a little bit everyday.

Get a Personal Mentor

When I was around 16 I just kinda assumed that either you’re born fat or you’re born athletic. I didn’t think it was possible to make a change, since elementary school they had us run relays, PE class they had us run around the school, but I was still on the heavier side. It wasn’t until my bigger bro lost tons of weight through diet, exercise and perseverance that I thought it was possible for me to lose weight too.

A mentor is someone who you should know first hand who accomplished something similar to what you want. We can all look at Steve Jobs or Elon Musk, but none of us know them personally to really know the hard work involved in accomplishing their goals.

By getting a personal mentor who has already made strides in similar goals as yourself, you will witness their struggle and make the connections needed to accomplish your goals. In college I would suggest pairing up with students or professors who you admire. If you don’t even talk to them, stalk them to see what they do when no one is watching.. You will observe their hard work and dedication towards their craft and goals.

The Best Motivation for College

So to recap, write down your goals and keep a journal. By getting a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy app you will keep track of your daily thoughts and by reading motivational quotes you will stay dedicated. Lastly, find a mentor, a mentor will be your blueprint to reaching your goals.

So don’t give up and drop out or feel like a loser. Some people are born lucky and with talent, but talent will only get you to the front door, its hard work which will get you to the top.
